Subject: I see England..
Subject: I see England..
After a spectacular send off (they're travelling on the Queen Mary!) The Medicuses spend a (brief) time exploring the ship before abruptly arriving in
...
England. They arrive in Northhampton, and next thing you know, touring London. Interesting how there's still coronation decorations on the street since King George took the crown the previous year. The London part of the film is awfully touristy, with stops on places you'd expect, eg St Paul's Cathedral Tower Of London, Parliament buildings etc. One thing I did notice, was a bombed out building. I thought Hitler did it, til I rechecked the date of the film lol. Probably the most interesting aspect of this reel is the Caledonian market, where you could ANYTHING, like, live puppies. I wonder where THEY came from. Poor things. Actually, I wonder where most of the stuff came from... GYPSIES?!!?? Also, the guy peddling the "Nottinghame Mystery Man" sounds interesting..
